March 25 Open House Status Update

It's looking more likely the summer camp open house we're having Sunday, March 25 will take place at Paradise Cove from 1 pm to 3 pm.  Stand by another day or so for the final word but this is the time and place.

Is Leap Year Good or Bad For Summer Camps?

Today is Tuesday, February 28 -- the last day of the month during "regular" calendar years. But this is leap year, so there's 29 days in February. The one bad thing about leap year is it postpone's the start of camp by another day. The good thing is it gives us another full day to prepare to make summer camp 2012 the best year ever!

"Can My 7-Year Old Son Be Grouped With His 9 Year Old Sister?"

Just got an email from a prospective camp parent asking if his 7 year old and 9 year old would be in the same group. We generally group kids by age, so in this case, the kids would be together on the bus, and from time-to time during the camp day, but in general they'd be grouped with other kids their age.

However, we understand sometimes friends and sibling want to be together, even if they're a couple years apart. No problem whatsoever! There's a place on your camp enrollment form to tell us which friends your camper would like to be with, and we'll make sure we follow your directions :)

Visiting Los Angeles This Summer? Try Aloha Beach Camp!

The past several summers we've seen increased interest from families visiting Los Angeles who want to put their kids in camp with us. We enjoy hosting campers from out of town! If you'll be visiting L.A. this summer and looking for a summer camp for your kids, try Aloha Beach Camp. You can sign up conveniently day by day, so there are no long-term enrollment commitments. Even if you want to sign up for just a day or two, we're happy to accommodate you. Your kids will learn all about the ocean and get surfing, boating and kayaking lessons too! When Will the Free Camp Offer End?

As you may know Aloha Beach Camp's got a free summer camp promotion going on right now. To our knowledge, we're the only Los Angeles Summer Camp doing this. But there's only so much free camp we can give away. That means the offer will expire any time, so if you're planning on taking advantage of it, don't delay...be sure to sign up for camp as soon as possible.

We mentioned yesterday we'll be at the Woodland Hills Academy Summer Camp Fair Saturday, March 3. Several folks have asked if just Aloha Beach Camp will be there. Absolutely not! Many summer camps  in Los Angeles will be there too, so even if you aren't sure Aloha Beach Camp's right for you, be sure to check out all the various camp opportunities. Free Camp Offer

This summer we thought we'd try something new offering free days of camp to Aloha Beach Camp kids. (Summer camp is fun, that's for sure, but it's even better when you don't need to pay!)

There's a lot more info on our prices and discounts page, but here's the deal.

When you sign up for at least 15 days of camp this summer, you'll get and extra day free. When you purchase 20 days of camp, you'll get 2 extra days free. And when you purchase 25 days of camp, you'll get get 3 extra days free!

Open House Update

Join us Sunday, March 25 for our first open house of the year. The open house will take place at Paradise Cove, Zuma Beach, or both. Details coming next week.

Summer Camp Enrollment Form is Online Now

Took a little longer than we thought, but Aloha Beach Camp's 2012 summer camp enrollment form is online now. That means we're already taking registrations for this summer! The price is $88 per day (which includes a $63 fee for camp and $25 for transportation) until March 25, when the Early Bird discount expires. Sign up now while you can still save money!
