Last Minute Sign Ups

Lots of new kids signed up for camp last week and continue to do so this weekend. We've had more last-minute registrations for camp this year than I can remember. I'm sure the economy is playing a part.

For Kids Who've Outgrown Traditional Camps, Extreme Sports Camps are a Great Alternative

As kids get older, they often outgrow traditional summer camps. An extreme sports camp might be a good alternative. Check it out.

Special offers, discounts and deals from Aloha Beach Camp

Yesterday we mentioned how payment plans can help ease the financial burden of paying for camp. When you can pay for camp over time -- rather than all up front -- suddenly summer camp becomes a lot more affordable. But you know what else makes camp more affordable? Discounts! :)

From now on, we'll be offering a new feature called "Aloha Discounts and Deals," where you can get exclusive money-saving offers ONLY on this blog and our Facebook page, nowhere else.

So be sure to check back here often to see the most recent deal or money-saving offer. Each offer will only be valid for 1 day (the day it's posted). After that, the offer will expire and a new one will be made available to you.

The first special deal will be posted here tomorrow, June 3 (Thursday) by 10 am PST. Don't forget to check our blog so you don't miss out.

How to Find the Best Summer Camp for You

If you're in the market for a summer camp experience for your kids this year, here's an article I wrote to help you find the best one for you.

Never Enter the Ocean Without a Lifeguard on Duty

Here's an article I wrote about beach safety and the importance of only going to beaches staffed by lifeguards. As you'll see from the article, if you choose a beach without lifeguards, you're taking a huge, unnecessary risk.

Los Angeles Beach and Surf Camp Pictures of the Day

Here's a couple pics of Aloha Beach Camp Summer Camp for you to enjoy. The first shows a High Action camper skimboarding at Zuma Beach. (High Action camp is for older kids ages 12 and up.)

The other picture shows our Keiki Camp campsite, at Paradise Cove, Malibu, just for younger children ages 3 to 7.

"Where do we meet the bus?"

Aloha Beach Camp provides daily transportation to and from camp for all campers. If you are a currently enrolled family, your transportation information (including meeting point details and pick up and drop off information) will be posted here and on our website and facebook pages later this week.
